VILLANOVA, Pa. – First-year
Jordan McGhee (Copperas Cove, Texas/Copperas Cove) and senior
Ashley Wilson (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) of the Cedar Crest College basketball team were selected as weekly Honorable Mention award recipients by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
McGhee had a pair of double-digit scoring games for the Falcons and dished out four assists while Wilson set a new program record for steals in a career with 160.
McGhee started the week with 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists against Clarks Summit and finished another 10 points to go along with four boards, two assists, and a steal against Wilson.
Wilson had a strong offensive week, starting with a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds while adding three assists and three steals against the Lady Defenders. She then closed the week with 18 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and three steals in a loss to the Phoenix.
McGhee, Wilson and Cedar Crest (1-11 overall, 1-9 CSAC) will next play on Wednesday, February 1 at Keystone College with the tip set for 6:00 p.m.
