ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College basketball team fell to visiting Penn State Lehigh Valley in a 68-54 final on Tuesday night in its home opener at Lees Gymnasium.
The Nittany Lions outscored the Falcons 18-12 in the opening quarter and then the teams were even in the second with 15 apiece as Penn State Lehigh Valley entered the half with a 33-27 advantage.
Cedar Crest held a 21-16 scoring edge in the third quarter as the Falcons trimmed the deficit to one, 49-48 heading into the final stanza.
The Nittany Lions used a 19-6 fourth quarter to pull away from the Falcons in the 14-point final, 68-54.

Caylie Long (Powder Springs, Ga./Hillgrove) tallied nine points, 10 rebounds, and a pair of steals for Cedar Crest in the loss.
Cedar Crest (0-2 overall) will open conference play with its next game, which will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at Notre Dame of Maryland University, starting at 7:00 p.m.
