Field Hockey Heads to Keystone for United East Finals Saturday

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The No. 2 seeded Cedar Crest College field hockey team heads to top-seeded Keystone College for the United East Conference Finals on Saturday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m.

The Falcons and the Giants will face each other for the first time since October 18, which saw Keystone coming out victorious, 3-0.

Cedar Crest enters the Finals with a 6-12 overall record while the Giants sits at 10-5 overall.

The Falcons advanced to the Finals after a 2-1 overtime victory over Wilson College on Wednesday night. Senior Adriana Hinkle (Palmerton, Pa./Homeschooled (played for Lehighton)) scored the game-winner 1:23 into the extra period to send Cedar Crest to the conference title game for the first time since 2021.

Keystone moved onto the Finals following a 10-0 triumph Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday night.

Hinkle leads the Falcons with 16 points on the season, tallying six goals and four assists.

Senior Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina) paces Keystone with 37 points on 14 goals and nine assists. Senior Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa.) ranks second on the team with 29 points on eight points and 13 assists. Senior Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina) has collected 25 points on 11 goals and three assists. Sophomore Belen Rodriguez (Caballito, Buenos Aires, Argentina) and senior Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y.) round out the Giants with double digit points, tallying 17 and 11, respectively.

Keystone's goalkeepers have split their time during the season. Senior Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J.) has played in all 15 games, making seven starts. She has a goal-against average of 1.29 along with a save percentage of 0.756. Senior Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md.) has seen time in 14 contests, starting in eight of them. She has a goals-against average of 1.29, a save percentage of 0.625, and a record of 7-1.

Cedar Crest is expected to start first-year Kadee Schrader (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area) in goal. She has played in all 18 games and has a 6-10 record to go along with a goals-against average of 2.36 and 129 total saves.
