CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Seniors
Kaylen Ledford (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and
Ashley Wilson (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) of the Cedar Crest College basketball were honored by the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization at its annual awards luncheon on Thursday afternoon at DeSales University.
Ledford was the Falcons' representative on the Scholar-Athlete Team. The senior criminal justice major has been a two-year member of the program. She has appeared in 17 games, making 10 starts. Ledford has collected 21 points, 54 rebounds, nine assists, six steals and a block over those 17 contests.
Wilson was named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Team of the Year as she is having a record-breaking year with the Falcons. She eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone and set the program record for career steals and three-pointers this season. Wilson currently leads the CSAC in points per game (22.3) and steals per game (4.1). The 22.3 points per game mark ranks sixth in Division III. Entering the final game of the 2022-23 season on Saturday, she sits at 1,172 points, which is eighth on the program's all-time scoring list.
Joining Wilson on the Team of the Year was Megan Bealer of DeSales, Margaux Eripret of Muhlenburg, Naia Pulliam of Kutztown, Ryan Weise of East Stroudsburg, and Tessa Zamolyi of Moravian.
The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization is made up of the six small colleges in the Lehigh Valley including NCAA Division II institutions East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and NCAA Division III institutions Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Moravian University, and Muhlenberg College.
Cedar Crest (3-15, 3-13 CSAC) concludes the 2022-23 season on Saturday, February 18 against Notre Dame of Maryland University. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
