CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team dropped a heartbreaker to Wilson College in a 1-0 double overtime contest in the First Round of the United East Conference Championship Tournament.

Sophomore Annie Smith (Hagertown, Md.) netted the golden goal in the 106^th minute to give the Phoenix the victory.

Wilson held a 26-10 advantage in shots while each team recorded four corner kicks. Senior MacKayla Reed (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area Senior) led the Falcons with four shots, graduate student Olivia Kelly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) followed with three, while junior Lauren Davis (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley), senior Abril Riley (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman), and first-year Lizzy DeNunzio (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) tallied one shot apiece.

Junior goalkeeper Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) made 14 saves in the loss for Cedar Crest. Senior Rebecca Marakovitz (Cinnaminson, N.J.) converted a team-high four saves in the win for the Phoenix.

The loss ends the season for Cedar Crest (5-8-2 overall). Wilson (13-3-2 overall) moves onto the quarterfinal round where they will travel to No. 2 seed Penn College on Saturday, November 2.
