IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team dropped a pair of contests on Saturday afternoon, falling to Immaculata University, 136-73, and then to St. Mary's College of Maryland, 161-47.
In the first event of the afternoon,
Madison Smith (Stockertown, Pa./Nazareth Area), sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), first-year
Janelle Pratt (Landing, N.J./Roxbury), and junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) took second place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:31.10.
Reinhart was back in the pool for the 1,000-yard freestyle, taking fourth by touching in 16:33.00.
Gil took part in the 200-yard freestyle and finished third with a time of 2:11.12.
Smith was the lone participant in the 100-yard backstroke, taking sixth (1:31.85).
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Pratt finished fourth in a time of 1:26.02.
Gil touched second in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 27.35 seconds. Smith followed in 11
th (36.82 seconds).
Smith was the lone Falcon in the 100-yard freestyle, taking sixth in a time of 1:22.19.
Reinhart finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (3:39.57).
Gil captured first place in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 2:45.51.
Reinhart took fifth in the 500-yard freestyle, registering a time of 7:17.89.
Pratt was the only Cedar Crest participant in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing fifth (1.26.87). She also placed second in the 200-yard individual medley, touching in 3:00.62.
Cedar Crest (1-6 overall, 1-3 Atlantic East) will next compete at the Electric City Invitational taking place at Marywood University from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24.
