SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team finished seventh at the Electric City Invitational hosted by Marywood University, collecting 92 points.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of first-year
Janelle Pratt (Landing, N.J./Roxbury), junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton), senior
Easton Ferry (Alburtis, Pa./Brandywine Heights), and sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) took ninth with a time of 2:05.77.
Ferry and Reinhart were back in the pool for the 500-yard freestyle, clocking times of 7:35.65 and 7:59.13, respectively.
Gil was the lone Falcon in the water for the 200-yard individual medley as she touched ninth in a time of 2:23.26.
Pratt was the only participant for Cedar Crest in the 50-yard freestyle, registering a time of 29.11 seconds, placing 18
th.
In the 400-yard medley relay, junior
Madison Smith (Stockertown, Pa./Nazareth Area), Pratt, Gil, and Ferry finished 11
th with a time of 5:16.29.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Smith, Pratt, Gil, and Ferry took ninth (2:24.28).
In the 200-yard freestyle, Ferry led the way for the Falcons, recording a time of 2:49.93. Smith clocked a time of 2:57.57. Reinhart touched in a time of 2:57.89.
Gil paced Cedar Crest in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 10
th-place finish (1:14.73). Pratt followed in 21
st, touching in 1:28.45.
Smith competed in the 100-yard backstroke and registered a time of 1:31.49, good for 17
th.
Ferry finished ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle, touching in 26:19.12.
In the 200-yard backstroke, Smith finished 13
th in a time of 3:13.38.
Reinhart swam in the 100-yard freestyle, taking 25
th (1:20.29).
Gil broke her own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing ninth with a time of 2:42.52. Pratt followed in 19
th (3:18.34)
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of Pratt, Reinhart, Ferry, and Gil placed 11
th with a time of 4:47.17.
Cedar Crest will now have an extended break and will return to action on Saturday, January 18 at home against Marywood University beginning at 11:00 a.m.
