Cedar Crest Announces Title Change For Rylee Gould, Elevated to Assistant Athletic Director

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Director of Athletics Christy Malone Fleagle is excited to announce a title change for Rylee Gould to Assistant Athletic Director in addition to retaining her titles of Head Lacrosse Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

"We believe in Coach Rylee and what she is doing, not only with the lacrosse program, but how supportive she is for all teams here at Cedar Crest College," said Fleagle. "This title change recognizes Rylee's dedication, expertise, and significant contributions to our athletic programs."

Since joining Cedar Crest College in 2021, Gould has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to excellence, both on and off the field. As Head Lacrosse Coach, Gould led our lacrosse team to a remarkable season in 2024. The Falcons finished fourth in the United East Conference with a 9-5 overall record (1-2 United East). She guided Cedar Crest to the conference tournament and hosted a first round game. Additionally, Gould was recognized as the 2024 United East Conference Co-Coach of the Year. Coach Rylee has been instrumental in developing a hardworking culture that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

"We are thrilled to announce this well-deserved title change for Coach Rylee," Fleagle continued. "Rylee has been a driving force behind the success of our lacrosse program and has shown a remarkable ability to mentor and inspire our student-athletes here at Cedar Crest. We are confident that in her expanded role, Rylee will continue to elevate our athletic department to new heights."

In her new role as Assistant Athletic Director and Recruiting Coordinator, Gould will continue to oversee the lacrosse program while also taking on expanded responsibilities with our enrollment team. This includes enhancing our recruiting efforts as the and focusing on identifying and attracting top talent to join our esteemed athletic programs.

"Since starting at Cedar Crest, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow in ways that I didn't imagine when taking the position," said Gould. "It is truly a special place that I will hold close for a lifetime. The relationships I have been able to build with athletes, coworkers, leaders, and the Cedar Crest community, has really helped shape me into a confident leader within athletics. It comes with ease and excitement transitioning into a new position under such passionate and caring leadership all while your workplace is pumping with positive energy."

This title change reflects Cedar Crest College's commitment to fostering a dynamic and supportive athletic community. We look forward to the continued success and growth of our athletics programs. We are flying high with the Falcons.

"If I started talking about the impact that my lacrosse athletes have had thus far in my career, I'd be here all day," Gould continued. "One particular rewarding experience for me is all the incredible relationships I have been able to build with athletes from the other teams on campus. The coaching staff has been vital in bringing in such a unique group of athletes that genuinely make Cedar Crest such a great place to be. I simply love being a part of it and will continue to give everything I have to not only my lacrosse team, but to the entire campus of Cedar Crest College.
