MAHWAH, N.J. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team lost to Ramapo College and Widener University by 106-10 finals on Saturday afternoon at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Pool.
In the first event, first-year
Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), first-year
Ariana Abazi (Lincoln Park, N.J./Roxbury), sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), and junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) took fourth in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking a time of 2:34.74.
Abazi and Reinhart went five-six in the 200-yard freestyle. Abazi touched in 2:52.92 followed by Reinhart (2:55.27).
Gil was the lone Falcon in the pool for the 100-yard breaststroke, taking sixth with a time of 1:16.37.
Cedar Crest had a pair of participants in the 50-yard freestyle. Gil finished fourth in a time of 27.34 seconds, while first-year
Katelyn Rice (Stratham, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) was 10
th (39.70 seconds).
Nadasi and Reinhart touched nine-ten in the 100-yard freestyle. Nadasi swam a time of 1:12.21 and Reinhart touched in 1:21.20.
Abazi and Nadasi finished in fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle. Abazi clocked a time of 7:48.68 and Nadasi registered a time of 8:16.75.
Gil was the only Falcon in the 200-yard IM, finishing second (2:25.64).
The meet concluded with the 200-yard freestyle relay. Rice, Reinhart, Abazi, and Nadasi recorded a fifth-place finish (2:25.95).
Cedar Crest will now turn its attention to the Atlantic East Conference Championships, which will take place from February 13 to February 16 at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
