ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team continued the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Friday.
First-year
Ariana Abazi (Lincoln Park, N.J./Roxbury) finished 15
th in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a finals time of 7:31.58. Classmate
Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) followed in 16
th, touching in 7:36.91.
Sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) grabbed a medal in the 200-yard individual medley, registering a third-place finish in a time of 2:19.91. She also broke her own school record with that performance.
First-year
Katelyn Rice (Stratham, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) took 12
th overall in the 50-yard freestyle, recording a finals time of 38.13 seconds.
The session finished with the 200-yard freestyle relay and saw Gil, Abazi, junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton), and Nadasi finish fifth in a time of 2:05.83.
The Falcons resume the Championships on Saturday, February 15 with the prelims at 10:00 a.m. followed by the finals at 6:00 p.m.
