ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team sits in fourth place after the first day of the Atlantic East Conference Championships, hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland, which began on Thursday night.
The first event of the night was the 200-yard medley relay and the team of first-year
Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), first-year
Ariana Abazi (Lincoln Park, N.J./Roxbury), sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), and junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) finished fifth with a time of 2:31.01.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of Gil, Reinhart, Nadasi, and Abazi took fourth, clocking a time of 10:24.54.
The Falcons will be back in the pool for day two of the Championships on Friday, February 14 with the prelims at 10:00 a.m., followed by the finals session at 6:00 p.m.
