ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Senior
Rachel Bilger (Philadelphia, Pa./Upper Dublin) of the Cedar Crest College basketball team was named as an Academic All-District® selection by College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Bilger played in and started all 20 games for the Falcons this season, averaging 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Academically, she is a psychology major with minors in health and wellness and educational studies with a certificate in child welfare and has a 3.85 GPA. Bilger was also Cedar Crest's representative on the United East Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
To be selected Academic All-District®, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games for their team.
