LATHAM, N.Y. – Two members of the Cedar Crest College flag football team were recognized as All-Conference selections by the United East Conference, the league office announced last Thursday.
Sophomore
Ginger Kerdock (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) was named First Team All-Conference while first-year
Hailey Wolbeck (Hemet, Calif./Western Center Academy) landed on the Second Team, both being defensive selections.
Kerdock is a First Team All-Conference selection after tallying 11 interceptions, returning them for 114 yards. She also chipped in 24 total tackles (22 solo, two assisted) as well as 20 passes defensed. On the offensive side of the ball, Kerdock registered 36 receptions for 496 yards and four touchdowns. She also contributed on special teams, recording 14 punts for 420 yards.
Wolbeck earns a Second Team All-Conference nod after collecting 35 total tackles (33 solo, two assisted), two interceptions, and five passes defensed. One of her interceptions was returned for a touchdown. Wolbeck also contributed to the offensive, recording 10 receptions for 71 yards.
Cedar Crest finished its inaugural season with a 6-7 overall record (2-6 United East) and qualified for the first United East Conference Flag Football Championship Tournament.
