Personal: Abdale is the daughter of Claudia Pena and Manuel Abdale… She is majoring in Theatre… Abdale is a member of the Theatre Club, Buskin Society, and the newly formed Fencing Club. She currently holds the Secretary position for both clubs. Abdale is also very involved in the school’s theatre productions constantly one way or another, whether it be as a crew member, part of the stage management team, or an actress in the show. Abdale chose Cedar Crest College because she wanted a small campus that offered a lot of opportunities and encourage her to push beyond the limits, both academically and athletically. Cedar Crest gave Abdale the support she needed to try and explore new things like Tennis, which she had no experience of playing until she came to Cedar Crest, and was taught by the amazing coaches from scratch. Academically, the coaches gave her the encouragement she needed to become fully committed and involved in the theatre program, and taught her to balance her responsibilities both in the classroom and on the courts. Abdale believes that coming to Cedar Crest was one of the best decisions she has ever made to help discover who she was and what she wants to do from now on.
