Amber Auchenbach


Amber Auchenbach joined the department as the Head Field Hockey Coach and Recruiting Coordinator in March 2018.

Auchenbach led the Falcons to a 6-9 regular season record and landed a spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Playoffs for the first time in 2002. Five of Auchenbach's student-athletes received First-Team All-CSAC Honors to go along with Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Auchenbach also was selected as the 2018 CSAC Coach of the Year.

Nine Falcons from Auchenbach's squad received NFHCA D3 National Academic squad and one earned honors as a NFHCA D3 Scholar of Distinction.

Auchenbach was the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for the last 5 years. On top of being an assistant coach, Auchenbach is also a club coach with the High Styx Field Hockey Club, and previously coached at United Field Hockey Club. She is a Level 1 Accredited Coach for Futures, a USA Olympic Development program. 

Auchenbach was a Division II field hockey athlete at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where she was a 2009 NCAA National Champion, 3-time Conference Champion, 3-time All Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honors and 2-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-American.  She was also succeeding off the field, earning NFHCA National Academic Squad honors all four year, making Dean's List six times, and very active in the surrounding community as a student-athlete and as a coach.

Auchenbach graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Social Work, then received her Master of Social Work from Kutztown University in 2015.

Auchenbach resides in Blandon, PA  with her husband, Chris and their son, Reed and daughter, Ava. They also has two dogs, Gunner and Porter.
