Franklin enters his second season as the Head Flag Football Coach in 2027.
In his first season at the helm and the first-ever flag football season in 2026, he led the Falcons to a 6-7 overall record and the team qualified for the inaugural United East Conference Flag Football Championship Tournament. Two of his student-athletes earned All-Conference honors.Â
Franklin came to Allentown with over 10 years of experience in coaching and athletic administration.
Most recently, Franklin was a physical education teacher and athletic activities coordinator at the Phillips School in Annadale, Virginia, a defensive line coach, assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, and offensive line coach at Thomas Jefferson Science and Tech in Alexandria, Virginia, and a defensive line coach at Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Additionally, Franklin has experience as a recreational assistant specialist at Potomac Job Corp and served as the Head Varsity Football Coach at Cesar Chavez PCS High School from August 2021 to April 2022.
Franklin has also held positions as the Assistant Sports Camps Director at ESF Camps, the Assistant Varsity Football Coach, specializing in the offensive line as well as the assistant special teams coordinator at the Avalon School in Silver Spring, Maryland, an assistant varsity football coach tight end's coach at Ballou Senior High School in Washington, D.C. among multiple other coaching and camp experiences.
Franklin was also heavily involved in the Athletic Department at Marshall University, serving as an Athletic Department Inter, a Competitive Sports Supervisor, and the Head Flag Football Coach from 2014 to 2018.
