Rhine enters his second season as the head women's basketball coach at Cedar Crest College in 2026-27 after leading the Falcons to the most successful season in program history in his first year.
In 2025-26, Rhine guided Cedar Crest to an 18-10 overall record and a 9-4 mark in United East Conference play, establishing a program record for victories and advancing to the United East Tournament semifinals. The Falcons' 18 wins represented a 10-win improvement from the previous season.
Rhine's first season at Cedar Crest was particularly impressive given the circumstances. Inheriting a roster with just one returning player, Rhine recruited eight newcomers and immediately established a new culture and identity within the program. Under his direction, the Falcons produced three All-Conference selections, including the United East Defensive Player of the Year.
The program's success extended beyond the court. Cedar Crest recorded their highest GPA in program history and earned the program's first WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll recognition.
Prior to Cedar Crest, Rhine spent two seasons as the head coach at his alma mater, Keystone College, where he engineered another significant turnaround. After inheriting a roster with only three returning players, Rhine quickly rebuilt the program and led the Giants to a 16-10 record and a United East playoff appearance in 2024-25. Four Keystone players earned All-Conference honors, while the program received its first WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll recognition under his leadership.
Rhine's first head coaching opportunity came at Misericordia University, where he spent seven seasons and established himself as one of the region's most successful Division III coaches. Taking over a program that had gone 17-57 during the three seasons prior to his arrival, Rhine transformed the Cougars into a consistent conference contender. From 2016-23, he compiled a 119-56 overall record and a 65-29 conference mark, leading Misericordia to six conference semifinals and one conference championship appearance. He remains the winningest coach in program history.
During his tenure at Misericordia, Rhine coached 15 All-Conference selections, five All-Region selections, one All-American, one Conference Rookie of the Year and one Conference Player of the Year. His teams also excelled academically, recording the highest team GPA in program history twice and earning WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll recognition in every season of his tenure.
Rhine owns a career record of 164-90 as a head coach and has earned Coach of the Year honors three times, including MAC Freedom Coach of the Year, D3hoops.com Atlantic Region Coach of the Year and ECAC Coach of the Year.
Rhine began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at California University of Pennsylvania, Washington & Jefferson College and Aurora University. At California University of Pennsylvania, his recruiting efforts helped lay the foundation for the Vulcans' 2014-15 NCAA Division II National Championship team.
In addition to his responsibilities as a head women's basketball coach, Rhine has served in athletic administration throughout his career. He previously served as Assistant Athletic Director at Keystone College and currently holds the same role at Cedar Crest College. He also served as WBCA Conference Chair and Director of Athletics Facilities during his time at Misericordia.
A graduate of Keystone College with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Rhine also holds a master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
