Carter enters his fourth season as the Head Basketball Coach in 2024-25.
In his third season in 2023-24, Carter led the Falcons to a 10-12 overall record, including a 9-9 mark in the United East-Skye Division, culminating in the program's first postseason berth in almost 20 years. One of his student-athletes earned All-Conference honors. Â
Carter has coaching experience at the high school and college level, most recently served as an assistant women's basketball coach at nearby Muhlenberg College.
In his first season at the helm, he guided the team to a 6-15 overall record with a 5-13 mark in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). Two of his student-athletes picked up All-Conference selections at the conclusion of the season.Â
Carter brings worldwide experience as a basketball coach to Cedar Crest.
A 2013 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, he served as an assistant coach at Stroudsburg High School for one year and head coach at Stroudsburg Middle School for two years.
In 2017, Carter was the director of the United States Basketball Academy of China in Xi'an, where he spearheaded the development of a new academy's basketball curriculum.
After returning, he was head basketball coach at Pocono Mountain East High School for a year. He also worked with Baseline Sports Agency in Los Angeles, assisting with NBA and G League professional basketball workouts.
Carter was named to the Muhlenberg women's basketball staff in 2019. There, he supported the head coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III basketball program. Carter also attended all team activities and dedicated time to building relationships with players with one-on-one training, film sessions, etc. He also assisted the head coach in the recruiting process. Carter also serves as the Co-Owner of the Lehigh Valley Legends.
Carter obtained a degree in media communication technology, sports management, and communication from East Stroudsburg. He then got his master's degree in sports management with a concentration in athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2017.
