Nelson enters her second season as an Assistant Basketball Coach for the Falcons in 2022-23.
She came to Allentown after a four-year playing career at the University of New England (UNE). During her time with the Nor’easters, Nelson was a three-time All-Conference selection. Additionally, she was named as the Maine Rookie of the Year in 2016-17 and was a member of the Maine All-Rookie Team.
Nelson helped the University of New England to a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Nelson was a three-sport varsity athlete at Windham High School (Windham, Maine), playing basketball, soccer, and softball. During her high school career, she was a 1,000-point scorer, a McDonald’s All-Star, the 2016 Maine Community Member of the Year, and recognized as the Female Athlete of the Year at Windham High School’s Senior Award Ceremony.
Nelson obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of New England in exercise science and was a two-year member of the Dean’s List.
