Bruce Campo

Campo came to Cedar Crest in September 2022 after serving as the women’s assistant coach at the University of Scranton in 2019. Campo was an integral part of the Scranton’s success leading the Royals to a conference finals and a semifinal finish. He was able to build a strong program by developing and guiding young, new recruits quickly into competitive strong, collegiate players. Coach Campo worked with returning players and improved their tennis skills making them much stronger competitive players.

“I am passionate and love to coach and watch my students learn and grow,” said Campo. “It is so satisfying to work with my team, watch them learn new skills, and become better tennis players. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing smiles on their faces as they master new skills.”

Prior to collegiate coaching, Campo instructed individuals one-on-one for 10 years.

Campo played two years at a junior college, winning his singles and doubles conference flight two years in a row and qualifying both years for the national championships. Campo went on to play tennis and graduate from Drexel University with a degree in business administration with a concentration in computer science.

When not coaching, Campo is passionate about fly fishing and bee keeping. He manages a number of apiaries, mentors new beekeepers and has a small honey business. He also enjoys cycling, gardening, spending his time with his family, and playing with his two retrievers, Enzo and Jax.
