Personal: Melo is the daughter of Monica and Sal Melo… She is Majoring in Genetic Engineering with a Minor in Chemistry…Melo is the secretary of SAAC, a RA, is involved with independent research, a teaching assistant for the Biology Department and is a member of the Field Hockey team. Melo chose Cedar Crest because she wanted a small-school atmosphere and hands-on work with professors. She also liked that she could do research during her Freshman year.
