Depew was named as the inaugural head wrestling coach on May 11, 2022 and will enter his fourth season in 2025-26.
After three years at the helm, Depew holds a 18-12 career coaching record with the Falcons. 12 of his student-athletes placed at the Pennsylvania State Championships and five of his student-athletes have been regional place winners. Depew was also nominated for the 2025 NCAA Women's Region II Coach of the Year award. He has led Cedar Crest to meet NCAA sponsorship in each of the program's first three seasons and has also coached seven NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
Depew began his collegiate wrestling career at Kutztown University in 2009, where he started as a true freshman at 174 lbs. and was on the University's winningest wrestling team in history. He then transferred to Millersville University where he started at 184 lbs. and served as a team captain.
Depew moved from competition into coaching, with stints at Wilson Area High School and Notre Dame Green Pond High School as an assistant coach.
During his tenure at Wilson Area, Depew coached wrestlers in multiple postseason tournaments, including six District XI Champions, two SE Regional Champions, 12 PIAA State Qualifiers and four PIAA State Place winners.
While at Notre Dame Green Pond as the head assistant coach, he coached four PIAA State Qualifiers and one PIAA State Place winner.
Most recently, Depew served as the head varsity wrestling coach at Pleasant Valley High School. He took over the program in 2021 and qualified the first wrestler to the AAA North East Regional Tournament since 2015.
"It's an absolute privilege to be the first head women's wrestling coach for Cedar Crest College," said Depew. "I look forward to building a new tradition of excellence at an already revered institution. Ultimately, I hope to promote Cedar Crest with class and continue to promote and grow women's wrestling."
He is also a member of the Region 2 Rankings Committee, where he responsible for ranking wrestlers monthly as well as seeding the Region 2 Tournament.
Depew graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor's degree in history.
