Head Coach Alec Duncan 2019-20

Duncan joined Cedar Crest College as the Head Cross Country Coach in July of 2016 and will enter his seventh season in 2022. He will begin his third season as the Head Track & Field Coach in 2023. Duncan has also held roles of Assistant Athletic Director for Operations, Student Worker Supervisor, Outside Operations Coordinator, and began the Co-Interim Athletic Director role on July 6, 2022. 

During his time with the Falcons, Duncan coached an individual Conference Champion, the first one in 25 years and the highest individual finish at a NCAA Regional Championship meet by a Cedar Crest student-athlete (47th).

He also led Cedar Crest to the program's first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) championship in 2021. The Falcons captured the 2021 title after they had six student-athletes place in the top 20 of the championship meet. Four student-athletes earned All-Conference recognition for their finish in the championship and later in the year, Duncan was recognized as the CSAC Coach of the Year. 

Under Duncan's direction, his teams have continued to improve its place with its finish in the conference championship meet. The Falcons finished third in 2019 and captured the first championship in program history in 2021. The Falcons also hosted the CSAC championship meet for the first time since 2008.

On the track & field side, Cedar Crest finished third in the CSAC championship meet in its first official year as a program and followed it up with another third-place finish in 2022. Numerous track & field student-athletes have earned All-Conference accolades under Duncan.  

Before Cedar Crest, Duncan coach a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Championship qualifier in cross country and outdoor track (1600m) at Freedom High School. Duncan is also Level 1  United States of America Track & Field (USATF) certified as well as United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track & Field Technical certified, and Program Management certified.

Duncan was a four-year standout at Moravian College (now University) where he competed in the traditional fall cross country season and in the spring as part of the track & field team. Duncan was the Landmark Conference Steeplechase Champion in the spring on 2013 to go along with his First Team All-Conference performances all four cross country seasons. Duncan was also named All-Region for Cross Country in 2014, with a personal best 8,000-meter time of 25:50.80. Duncan was also on the All-Sportsmanship Team back-to-back and earned Conference Rookie of the Year.

Duncan earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from Moravian College (now University) in May 2015 and currently resides in Bethlehem.
