Rosemont, PA - Cedar Crest picked up their second Colonial States Athletic Conference win of the season Wednesday night in a convincing road win at Rosemont College. Set scores in the 3-0 victory were 25-11, 25-20, and 25-13.
The Ravens put up a good fight, even coming back from a 14-6 deficit in the second set to lead 18-16, but the Falcons were not rattled and would not be denied the win. Cedar Crest freshman Jessica Lobien (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) led all players in kills with 10, while twin sister Deb led all players in assists with 25. Sophomore Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) had a solid night, leading the team in digs with nine and recording three aces.
With the win, Cedar Crest improves to 8-13 overall and is now 2-7 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Rosemont falls to 4-15 and 1-6 in the CSAC. Cedar Crest will next play in a tri-match at Alvernia University on Saturday, October 22nd, against non-conference opponents Penn State Berks at 11:00 AM and Alvernia at 1:00 PM.
