Allentown, PA - The stiff defense of the Arcadia University Knights had the Falcons back on their heels most of the day today enroute to a 10-1 Cedar Crest home loss to their Middle Atlantic Conference foes.
The Knights scored early and often, including five goals in a ten-minute stretch, two by Molly Goldstein, just before halftime. Goldstein finished with a hat-trick and an assist. Down 6-0 at the half, Cedar Crest was unable to find the adjustments needed to topple the Knights in the second half, as Arcadia netted two more before Cedar Crest junior Becca Lowe (Richmond, VA, James River) scored a goal on feed from Heather Rice (Thurmont, MD, Catoctin). Keystone added two more for the eventual 10-1 final, and outshot the Falcons by a wide margin.
Cedar Crest is now 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while Arcadia improves to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the MAC. The Falcons will host CSAC rival Marywood on Wednesday, September 28th, at 4:00 PM.
