Box Score

Langhorne, - On the road at Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Philadelphia Biblical University, Cedar Crest continued to display the newfound confidence and balanced style of play that brought them a win over Bryn Mawr on Thursday. On Saturday, the Falcons defeated the PBU Crimson Eagles, 76-43.

Cedar Crest led from the first minute and was up by double-digits within the first ten minutes. Strong defense by the Falcons forced 13 first-half turnovers by PBU, and on the offensive end Cedar Crest saw production from all players en route to the halftime score of 42-17. Senior Lizzy Sunderhaus (Hamilton, OH/Stephen T. Badin) had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the first half, and freshman Mattie Hallquist (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) played exceptionally well with 10 first-half points.

The Falcons opened the second half with a 10-2 run that essentially put the game out of PBU's reach, as the Eagles would get no closer than 23.

Cedar Crest shot an impressive 48.3% from the floor to PBU's 27.5. The Falcons also benefited at the charity stripe, where they shot 16 of 19 (84.2%).

Sunderhaus led all scorers with 29 points and all rebounders with 15. Sophomore Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) continued her terrific play with 20 points and eight boards. Freshman DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) had 10 points, and junior Megan DeMutis (Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic) had seven assists.

Philadelphia Biblical's Dani Bradley-Wilson led her team with 14 points and 10 boards.

Cedar Crest is now 3-12 on the season and 1-7 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while Philadelphia Biblical drops to 4-10 and 1-7 in the CSAC. Next up, the Falcons will host CSAC opponent Baptist Bible College on Wednesday, January 18th, at 7:00 PM.
