Season Stats

Allentown, PA - In the final game for Cedar Crest seniors Leia Epstein (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh), Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown), Jessica Millar (Dover, DE/Polytech), Becca Lowe (Richmond, VA/James River), and Lauren Salge (Robbinsville, NJ/Allentown), the Falcons were denied a season-ending win by a determined Moravian Greyhound squad. The final score was 4-0.

Although Cedar Crest started a little sluggishly, allowing Moravian's Keriann Badessa to score just six minutes in, they quickly tightened up and began to play the Greyhounds straight up. The rest of the first half was a spirited back and forth affair, but though Cedar Crest began to get some shots off, they couldn't find the goal. The teams entered the break with Moravian clinging to a slim 1-0 lead.

Ultimately, the deeper 'Hounds seemed to wear down the Falcons, leading to Badessa's second goal in the 44th minute, and a goal off a nice diving flick by Catherine Duffin in the 60th. With Cedar Crest unable to answer, the game was out of reach by the time Valerie Male scored on a penalty corner with less than two minutes remaining.

Moravian outshot Cedar Crest 25-8, and 16-3 in shots on goal. Senior Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) had 10 saves, and Jess Millar had 2 defensive saves.

Cedar Crest closes out the 2012 season 6-12 overall and 2-5 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Moravian improves to 8-8 and is 2-5 in the Landmark Conference.
