Radnor, PA - The Falcons came into the final day of the regular season needing some help to secure a playoff berth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball tournament.

Not only did Cedar Crest need to defeat Notre Dame of Maryland on the road, they also needed a win or at least a good showing by Marywood at Centenary in order to squeeze into the final spot.

Fortunately, by virtue of their 3-1 victory over the Gators and Marywood's ability to win two sets in a 3-2 loss at Centenary, the Falcons edged out Centenary for the berth. Centenary's win set up a three-way tie that was only broken with a convoluted examination of individual sets won and lost against each other, and when the dust settled Marywood was the five seed and Cedar Crest the sixth..

However they got there, the Falcons earned their victory at Notre Dame. Rebecca Grady (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) had 10 kills in the win, and Debra Lobien (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) had 26 assists. Ericka Clayton (Zionsville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) had 23 digs.

The Falcons end the regular season at 13-14 overall and 6-5 in the CSAC. The will play at the third-seaded Baptist Bible Defenders on Tuesday, October 30th.
