Allentown, PA - Colonial States Athletic Conference rival Gwynedd-Mercy traveled to Cedar Crest on Wednesday night, but in the end had nothing to show for their trouble but a 3-0 loss.
It looked at the start as though the Falcons would dominate the Griffins, as the home squad jumped out to a quick 15-6 lead. But Gwynedd-Mercy began to warm up and play much closer, although they still lost the first set 25-14. Shaking off the first set, the Griffins rallied to take Cedar Crest to the wire in the second set, leading several times and as late as 21-18 before falling 27-25. The third set was similar, with the Falcons taking a slight early lead and the visitors hanging within a point or two before falling 25-20.
