Box Score Brooklyn, NY (November 29, 2012) – For the first time this season, the Falcons headed on the road to face the 0-3 Saint Joseph's College - Brooklyn Bears in NYC. Once again, Cedar Crest found themselves on the losing end 82-50 as the size of St. Joseph's proved to be too much for the Falcons. Being outrebounded 61-41 and giving up 38 points in the paint was the difference in this contest.
Sophomore,
Denyell Spingola (East Haddam, CT/Nathan Hale-Ray) lead the Falcons with 14 points, shooting 8-10 from the free throw line. Senior,
Megan DeMutis (Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic) and junior
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) each contributed nine points apiece. As a team the Falcons shot 13-17 from the charity strip for 76.5%. Sophomore
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) pulled down seven rebounds with DeMutis adding six additional boards to her season totals.
Cedar Crest will head off to Morristown, NJ to play The College of St. Elizabeth this Saturday, December 1, at 1:00 p.m.
