Allentown, PA - The high-flying Falcons were grounded on Friday, as Wesley College brought their winning streak to a halt with a 5-1 home loss.

Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) scored Cedar Crest's only goal, unassisted, midway through the first period, but the Wolverines tied it just before the break.

For a time, it seemed the game might have gone the same way as the previous game against Hood, with the Falcons playing to a halftime tie then breaking things open with a flurry of goals in the second half. But it seems that was Wesley's plan instead, as the Wolverines overwhelmed Cedar Crest by fielding a total of 25 players and notching four unanswered goals after halftime.

The weary Falcons were out-shot 21-2, but fortunately goalie Lindsay Harrison (Hanover, PA/Littlestown) had 15 saves.

After the loss, Cedar Crest drops to 3-1 and 0-0 in the conference. Wesley improves to improves to 3-3. Next up, the Falcons hit the road for their final non-conference game before CSAC play begins with a night game at Arcadia University on Thursday, September 20th, at 7:00 PM.
