ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Shannon Lozier has been named as the Head Field Hockey Coach, as announced by Director of Athletics Christy Malone Fleagle on Thursday.

"Shannon's passion for Cedar Crest College field hockey and her commitment to our team have made a lasting impact on our program," said Fleagle. "In her time with our program, she has been instrumental in recruiting talented student-athletes, building strong relationships with families, and helping strengthen the foundation of our program. Her extensive officiating experience and successful club coaching background have prepared her well to lead our program with confidence, humility, and a student-centered approach. Shannon's dedication has been instrumental in our continued growth, and we are grateful for all she has done to advance the Cedar Crest College field hockey program. We are excited to see her lead the program into its next chapter."

Lozier spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Falcons' field hockey program. In the last two seasons, she specialized in defensive skills, maneuvers, and play, while assisting with in-game decisions, practices, and recruiting.

"I'm incredibly honored to lead the Cedar Crest College field hockey program," said Lozier. "I look forward to building a culture centered on hard work, resilience, and teamwork while helping our student-athletes reach their full potential in the classroom, on the field, and in life."

Lozier also spent almost five years as a coach and curriculum coordinator for the Marojoka Hockey Club in Whitehall, Pennsylvania and a Nexus Coach for USA Field Hockey for one season. Nexus is the Olympic Development Pathway for youth and high school athletes.

Outside of coaching, Lozier serves as an umpire for PIAA Field Hockey, USA Field Hockey, and Performance Sports Events.

In her playing career at Immaculata University, she was a four-year starter, ending her career with 3,815 minutes played as an integral part of the defensive unit. On the offensive side of the ball, Lozier collected 23 points on eight goals and seven assists. She was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2019 and a three-time member of the All-Academic Team.

Lozier graduated from Immaculata University in 2021 with a degree in history with a minor in marketing. She then obtained her masters in museum leadership from Drexel University in 2022.

Lozier and the Falcons begin the 2026 season at King's College (Pa.) on Wednesday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m.
