Lewis Leads Falcons With 17 Against Neumann

Playing in their second conference game of the season the Cedar Crest College traveled to Neumann University to take on the Knights.

The big story heading into tonight's game was clearly Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) who before the game was just 10 points away from 1,000 in her career.  Wehry who is averaging 12.2 Points Per Game, would finish this game with seven points to now sit just three points from 1,000.

Junior Breonna, who played all but eight minutes in the game would tally 17 total points one assist and grab four defensive boards.  Lewis also shot 5-6 from the free throw line.  Classmate DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) who collected 30 minutes of playing time would finish second on the team in scoring tonight shooting 5-12 from the field and 2-5 from the free throw line to tie her season high with 12 points.

Freshman Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School), who has tallied 179 minutes so far this season, finished with four baskets and shot .500 from beyond the arch to collect nine more points for the Falcons.

Shaquira McCottry (Philadelphia, PA/Girard College) would wrap up the scoring for the Falcons as she would collect four points and was perfect from the free throw line while playing 13 minutes.

The Falcons fall to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC and will travel again on Saturday December 7th as they travel to Hackettstown, NJ to take on Centenary College.  Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
