Falcons Fall to Greyhounds

The Cedar Crest Field Hockey Team traveled to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to play the Greyhounds of Moravian College.

The Greyhounds took an early advance against the Falcons during the hot and humid game day conditions. Erin Studer (Kent, CT/Housatonic Valley Regional) and Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) ended with one shot on goal each in the first half. With improved communication and several defensive plays, the Falcons were able to hold the Greyhounds scoreless in the second half. Goaltender Kaitlyn Bredlinger totaled 28 saves during game play, out-saving Moravian goaltenders by 26. Bredlinger has totaled 100 saves to date with just five games into the season.With the home opener just around the corner, fans can look forward to seeing a performance from the team as they continue to play tough on offense and defense.
The Falcons will have their home opener on Tuesday, September 17 against DeSales University at 4:00pm.
