The Cedar Crest College Volleyball team would hit the road this evening for some regional volleyball action as they met up with King's College in WIlkes-Barre PA.
The Falcons got off to a hot start in set one downing the Monarchs and taking a quick 1-0 lead winning set one 25-22. Â The Monarchs would go anything but quietly as they would take sets two and three, both by the score 25-21. Â With their backs against the wall the Falcons would put a rally together and tie the sets up at 2-2 with a 25-23 win in set four. Â Set five would be another close call as the Falcons found themselves on the right side of a close match downing King's 15-13 to improve to 5-4 on the season.

Jessica Lobien (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) and
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) led the teamwith 17 and 14 respectively while freshman
Celina Danish (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts) once again collected a game high in assists with 42.
Lobien and libero
Ericka Clayton (Zionsville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) led the game in digs as Lobien would finish one behind Clayton with 23. Â Clayton now has over 130 digs on the season and this was the third time she has collected over 20 in a match.
Kiersten Collins (Forest City, PA/Forest City Regional) and
Rebecca Grady (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) would both chip in with eight kills a piece while
Chloe Ciraco (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) added two assists and 11 digs and
Denise Castillo (New Rochelle/New Rochelle High School) would add a single kill.
The Falcons are now 5-4 on the season and will meet up with Rosemont on the 28th as they begin conference play.
