Allentown, PA- The Cedar Crest Soccer team secured their first CSAC win today as they took on the Notre Dame of Maryland Gators.

Junior Forward Courtney Long (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) broke the record for most goals scored in a career at Cedar Crest as she netted her 10th goal for the season (30 career goals) in the 30th second of the game. The Falcons would continue to be a threat for the Gators as they constantly attacked the net, gaining many close opportunities. Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) would net her 4th goal of the season as she took on the Gators goalkeeper 1v1 to slip it in the left corner.

The Falcons would continue to dominate the game in the second half, having many more opportunities to score. Freshman midfielder Caitlyn Mann (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) would net her second goal of the season as she took on the Gators goalkeeper 1v1 to pummel it by her in the far right corner. The Gators would lessen the goal difference in the 70th minute to finish the scoring for both teams. The game would end in regulation time with a score of 3-1 in favor of the Falcons.

With the win, the Falcons move to a record of 3-10-1 overall and 1-5-0 in CSAC play. The team returns to the field on Tuesday October 14th as they host The Cairn University Highlanders at 4pm.
