The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team hosted Cabrini College this afternoon as it was Senior Day for the Falcons. Â The two seniors who were honored were
Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) and
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School).
The seniors would be honored at half time by the fans, teammates and loved ones cheering them on.
As for the game, Sanbeg would lead the Falcons with two shots and one on goal to go along with her one assist for the game. Â
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) would tag Sanbegs assist in for her eigth goal of the season. Â Senior
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School) would also tag two shots one of which would be on goal and
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) would finish with one shot on the day as well.
In goal
Andi Dargis (East Hampton, NY/East Hampton) received the nod to start, but after nine minutes would be replaced by Sophomore
Selena Contreras (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) who would play the remainder of the game and collect 16 saves. Â With those 16 saves, the is the second time Contreras has collected double digit saves for the Falcons while also not playing a full game in goal.
The Falcons now sit at 0-5 in the CSAC and will travel to Marywood next Saturday before wrapping up the season on the 29th at Neumann.
