It was homecoming and Fall Family Weekend at Cedar Crest College this weekend as the Field Hockey team hosted Keystone College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game.
It was the first conference game for the Falcons since they traveled to Immaculata on September 27th.
The Falcons opened up very strong as tough defense and would only allow six shots total in the first half.  The Falcons and Giants would wrap up the first half with Keystone leading 1-0.
The second half would be a different story for the Falcons as the Giants would go on a 7-0 scoring stretch to close out the last 35 minutes.
For the Falcons, four players would finish with shots on goal with senior
Jessica Sanbeg (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) leading the team with four shots and three on goal while
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) would finish with two shots total, both on goal.  Newcomers to the team
Kailen Moyer (Lenhartsville, PA/Kutztown Area) and
Elizabeth Michas (Moravia, NY/Moravia Central) would both tally one shot on goal as the team finished with seven shots on goal for the game.  In goal
Andi Dargis (East Hampton, NY/East Hampton) finished with nine saves with 70 minutes in goal.
The Falcons fall to 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC and will travel to Widener for a non-conference game on October 7th.
