Looking to keep to their winning ways, the Cedar Crest College Women's Basketball welcomed CSAC rival Neumann to Lees Gymnasium this afternoon.
For the first half,
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) and
Miranda Schaeffer (Newport, PA/Newport) would lead the way for the Falcons each collecting four points each. Â
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) and
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) would both add three each with Osley finishing 3-4 from the free throw line. Â Freshman center
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) would add to to round out the scoring for the Falcons in the first half. Â As a team the Falcons shot 28.6 % from the field while shooting 44.4 % from the charity strip.
In the second half, the Falcons would be led by
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) who would total nine second half points while shooting 100 % from the free throw line. Â
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) and Osley would then both add five second half points while Lantion would add two and Thompson one. Â
For the game, the Falcons shot 27.1 % from the field and would score 12 poitns off of turnovers. Â The bench stepped up in a big way for the Falcons, collecting 15 points, led by
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool). Â The Falcons now sit at 2-3 in the CSAC and will travel to Immaculata University for a CSAC showdown with the Mighty Macs on Monday. Â Game time is set for 6 pm.
