Looking to start 2015 off on the right foot, the Cedar Crest College Basketball team took to the road for a non-conference showdown with their third Penn State opponent of the season playing the host PSU-Brandywine.
As a team the Falcons shot 13% higher than their season average in the first half, collecting 26 first half points. Â As a team the Falcons also finished with a 66.7% average from three point range thanks to
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere)'s hot shooting from deep range. Â The Falcons also shot 50% from the free throw line in the first half which was just below their season average.
For the Falcons
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) once again led the charge collecting her seventh double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds while
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) finished with eight points and six rebounds. Â Sophomore
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) added seven points in the 2015 opener while Keggan added another seven as well.
As a team the Falcons collected 41 rebounds and shot 31.9% from the field. Â They collected 14 points in the paint, 10 points off of turnovers, nine second chance points, and the bench would chip in four points of their own.
The Falcons fall to 1-9 overall and will travel to Cairn University for a CSAC showdown against the Highlanders. Â Game time is set for 6 pm.
