Looking to continue to improve, the Cedar Crest College Basketball team took to the road for their second CSAC women's basketball game of 2015. The Falcons continued their new year trend downing the Defenders of Baptist Bible 53-44 to improve to 2-0 in the CSAC in 2015 and 2-1 overall this year.
As a team the Falcons shot 34.4% from the field while shooting 41.2% from the free throw line. Also as a team the Falcons would grab 36 rebounds, 13 of which were offensive led by
Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) who grabbed seven of them and eight defensive for 15 total. Lewis would also net nine points in the win.
Individually for the Falcons
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) continued her hot shooting collecting her second double-digit scoring game of 2015, leading the Falcons with 16 points and six rebounds.
DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) also followed Osley collecting her second double-digit scoring game of 2015 collecting seven first half points en route to 11 for the game. .
The Falcons committed just 15 turnovers and the bench chipped in with 12 points. As the Falcons led for nearly the entire game.
The Falcons improve to 3-9 overakk and 2-2 in the CSAC and will return to action with their first home game of 2015 when they welcome the Neumann Knights to Lees Gymnasium. Game time is set for 1 pm.
