BROOKLYN, N.Y.--- The Cedar Crest College basketball team fell to the College of New Rochelle,70-59, in the Women's College Tip Off Tournament to kick off the 2015-16 regular season on Saturday afternoon.
Junior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) scored 19 points, three-for-four from the foul line and four-of-seven from behind the three point mark and contributed two assists. Freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Penssauken, NJ/Pennsauken) had a total of 13 points, four rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Sophomore forward
Shameca Thompson and freshman forward
Shechinahglory Tucker (Wilmington, DE/Hodgson Vo-Tech) both added eight points.
Thompson had seven rebounds and a block while
Tucker was a perfect four-for-four from the free throw line, and brought down three rebounds. Senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) scored five points and five boards as freshman
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) had four points and five rebounds. Freshman
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) scored two points and three rebounds on the afternoon.
The Falcons next game is on Sunday, November 15 with tip-off set for 1:00 p.m. as the team takes on Bryn Mawr College.
