Lantion Drops 18, Lewis 13 in Loss at Rosemont

Rosemont, PA

After a short break from a busy conference schedule, the Cedar Crest College Basketball team took to the road to battle the Ravens of Rosemont.

In the first half, the Falcons offense was all DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) as the senior would finish 4-5 from the field, 1-2 from three point range and 2-4 from the free throw line for 11 first half points.  Lantion would aslo grab three defensive rebounds to round out the first half.  Freshman Miranda Schaeffer (Newport, PA/Newport) would also chip in with five first half points and two rebounds for the Falcons.  As a team, the Falcons shot 43% from the fiedl and 42% from the free throw line while committing only 10 fouls in the first half.

The second half saw the return of Senior Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) who would not play the first half.  Lewis would take the court by storm collecting 13 second half points while finishing 4-5 from the field, 2-2 from three point range and 3-6 from the free throw line.  Lantion would add seven second half points for the Falcons, running her season high to 18 points.

As a team, the Falcons shot 41 % from the field and 44 % from the free throw line.  The Falcons would collect eight points in the paint and take advantage of a few turnovers, converting five points from Ravens turnovers.  The Bench would play a big part of the day for the Falcons as they would chip in 20 points.
