Keggan, Lewis, Osley Lead Falcons against Griffins

Gwynedd Valley, PA

In their last CSAC game of the season, the Cedar Crest College Basketball team took to the road to battle CSAC foe in the Gwynedd-Mercy Griffins.  The Griffins who before today's game, sat at 9-3 in the CSAC and 13-8 overall came into today's contest looking to begin another CSAC winning streak.  The Falcons, who entered today's contest at 4-11 in the CSAC and 5-18 overall, were looking to end their current losing streak.

In the first half, three players finished with four points.  Senior Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool), and freshmen Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff High School) and Miranda Schaeffer (Newport, PA/Newport).  Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) and Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) would round out the scoring for the Falcons in the first half with three a piece.  As a team the Falcons would grab 21 total rebounds led by Lewis's five and Gregory's and Denyell Spingola (East Haddam, CT/Nathan Hale-Ray)'s four a piece.  As a team the Falcons shot 25.8 percent from the field and 22 percent from three point range.

In the second half, the Falcons would be lead by Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere)'s six points and Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School)'s five.  Breonna Lewis (Abingdon, MD/Sovereign Grace Homeschool) and Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) would both add four points for the team while senior DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) would contribute three and Spingola one.  

The Falcons fall to 5-19 overall and 4-12 in the CSAC with the 73-41 loss to the Griffins and they will wrap up the 2014-2015 season when they travel to Valley Forge to battle the Patriots on Monday 2/16.
