Gwynedd Valley, PA
The Cedar Crest College Lacrosse team took to the road this evening in search of their first CSAC win of the season. Â The Falcons would travel to Gwynedd Valley to battle Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Gwynedd-Mercy Univesity.
Individually for the Falcons,
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would lead the attack collecting two goals on seven shots. Â Rodenberger would also collect a groundball, one draw control and force one turnover. Â
Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley High School),
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) and
Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) would each tally a goal a piece to push the total for the Falcons to five for the day. Â Gill would collect four draw controls and two ground balls while Samite and senior
Rebecca Grady (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) would add two a piece. Â In goal,
Nicole Rivera (Bronx, NY/Eximius High School) would finish with five saves on the day and three groundballs to lead the Falcons in that category.
As a team, the Falcons finished with 14 shots, 11 of those shots on goal. Â They would also add 14 groundballs, six draw controls, and four free-postition shots. Â The Falcons were also successful with 10 of their 16 clear attempts on the day.
As for the game, the Falcons would push hard in the second half, but would fall to the Griffins 20-5. Â The Falcons will remain off the rest of the week before returning to action on Monday when they host Rosemont. Â Game time is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.
