Morristown, NJ
Playing in their final game of 2015. Â The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team travled to Morristown, NJ to take on the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles.
The Falcons and Eagles would play a very back and forth battle for the first thirty minutes. Â
Led by
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) and
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would both collect three first half goals with
Caitlyn Mann (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) adding a first half goal for the Falcons as well.
Entering the second half, the Falcons would score with
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would start the second half off with an unassisted goal just 22 seconds into the half. Â After two St. Elizabeth goals,
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School) and
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would go back to back with goals to put the Falcons within one goal with 19 minutes left in the game. Â After another St. Elizabeth goal
Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) and Samite would go back to back for two more goals for the Falcons. Â With those two goals the Falcons and Eagles would enter the final 13 minutes tied 12-12. Â
The Eagles would take advantage of playing two players up and score three unanswered goals to take a 15-12 lead before Samite would score her sixth goal of the game and wrap up the 2015 season for the Falcons.
