Box Score 2 SCRANTON, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the final day of the Scranton Invitational Tournament. They first faced Wesley College forcing a fourth set, but falling with scores of 25-11, 25-8, 25-21 and 25-13. They then squared off with Anna Maria College and fell in three sets with scores of 25-9, 25-19 and 25-10.
In the first match against Wesley College, junior opposite hitter
Maggie Olock (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School) had five kills, eight digs and one block while senior outside hitter
Ericka Clayton (Zionsville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) also tacked on five kills, and two service aces. Junior setter
Celina Danish (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts) and sophomore opposite hitter
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) added on kill,
Danish also added four digs while
Schnaubelt contributed five. Sophomore defensive specialist
Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley) led the team in digs with 15 while senior
Kimlynn Tran () added three digs and one service ace.
In the second match against Anna Maria College,
Martinez had three kills, and led the team again in digs with seven while
Danish had two kills and three digs.
Clayton and
Olock both added a kill as
Olock added four digs and
Clayton posted six digs and one service ace.
The Falcons play again on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. at non-conference Lehman College.
