GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College basketball team traveled to Colonial States Athletics Conference foe Gwynedd Mercy University falling, 80-34, on Wednesday evening.
Freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) led the team with 16 points, two steals and four rebounds while going 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Freshman forward
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) scored seven points, one assist, had four rebounds on the night and hit five of her six free throws. Senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) also added seven points with three rebounds and one block and going two-for-two from the foul line. Sophomore forward
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding)Â and freshman forward
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) both led the team in rebounds with seven.
Thompson had three points, one block and one steal while
Pierre had one block, one steal and one assist.
The Falcons return home on Saturday, January 23 for a conference match up at 1:00 p.m. against Cabrini College in Lees Gymnasium.
