La PLUME, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College basketball team hit the road in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match up at Keystone College where they fell ,59-45, on Thursday night.
The Falcons scored the first three points of the game and would hold the lead until the Giants tied things up at 9-9 in the with four minutes and would trade baskets until the end of the first quarter with both teams holding at 17 points apiece. The second quarter had both teams trading points until Keystone solidified a three point lead before half with a score of 31-28.
At the end of the third quarter Cedar Crest trailed 47-34 and would extend the lead in the fourth quarter that the Falcons never recovered from. Freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) scored 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Freshman guard
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) also put up 10 points, had three rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals.
Junior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) contributed nine points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals while senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) tallied seven points, pulling down seven rebounds and had one assist. Freshman forward
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) score six points and had nine rebounds while sophomore forward
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) led the team in rebounds with 10 while blocking three shots, had two steals and one assist.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday, January 9 at Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Summit University with tip-off slated for 1:00 p.m.
