CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College basketball team fell, 55-37, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action as the team traveled to Clarks Summit to face off against Summit University.
The first quarter the teams traded points which lead to the team trailing by five heading into halftime. The Falcons looked to maintain, but fell to an 11 point deficit in the third quarter that they would recover from in the fourth quarter.
Junior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) led the team with 17 points, three rebounds and one assist as freshman guard
Tenille Stewart (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) added six points, four assists and one rebound. Senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) also added six points and six rebounds on the afternoon. Sophomore forward
Shemeca Thompson (Bridgeport, CT/Warren Harding) score six points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks. Freshman forward
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) also pulled down seven rebounds while scoring two points. Freshman forward
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) grabbed six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
The next game for the basketball team is Wednesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. at CSAC opponent Neumann University.
